SOMETIMES THE ANSWER IS WAITING.

Often, unexpected turns can lead to the most beautiful destinations.

Yesterday, my children had their routine dental check-up. Since the eye clinic was nearby, we stopped by afterward to ask about their next eye appointment instead of calling. We didn’t expect much, as same-day appointments are usually impossible to get. We only planned to check the date and make another trip later for the appointment.

At first, walking in did not seem like the best option. I was particularly sceptical, but Kaima kept telling me, “Let’s just ask.” And to our surprise, the staff checked and found an available appointment for the same day. What seemed unlikely turned into a great opportunity. We were able to complete everything in one trip and avoid the burden of travelling a long distance again.

This simple experience held a deeper lesson about life.

Sometimes, we hesitate to try because we assume the answer will be no. We may feel something is impossible, inconvenient, or not worth the effort. But life often rewards those who take small steps, ask questions, and make an effort even when the outcome is uncertain.

Here is a valuable lesson for children and young people in this experience.

Do not be afraid to try.

Do not assume opportunities are closed.

A simple step of courage or initiative can open unexpected doors.

Even when something seems inconvenient at first, it may turn out to be a blessing at last.

Life does not always work out the way we plan, but sometimes, it works out even better.

Opportunities often come disguised as ordinary moments.

What matters is being willing to take the step, ask the question, and remain hopeful.

A closed mind misses chances, but a willing heart discovers possibilities.

Sometimes, a simple decision, like walking in instead of walking away, can make all the difference.

In all, not every opportunity will work out, but if you never try, you might miss the very thing that was waiting for you.
