I never knew some people were Arsenal fans until yesterday after their win. For years, you could hardly hear them say anything or make any post when Arsenal plays because the team kept losing, and people would mock them.
But immediately Arsenal won last night, everything changed. WhatsApp updates topping, jerseys everywhere, celebrations, passionate updates, and loud support.
Honestly, it got me thinking about life.
A lot of people love to associate themselves with success, but very few people are willing to stay through the process. Everyone wants to celebrate the finished product, but not many people respect the waiting season, the failures, the silent struggles, and the patience it takes to finally win.
That’s a lesson young people need to understand early in life.
Don’t hide your process.
Not every season of your life will look successful.
There will be times when things won’t work, when people will overlook you, laugh at you, or disappear because they can’t see where you’re headed yet.
But growth takes time.
The same people celebrating today were once quiet because the season was hard. And that’s how life is, too.
Sometimes, your moment hasn’t come yet, not because you’re failing, but because your story is still unfolding.
Be patient with yourself. Stay consistent even when nobody notices your effort. Learn to value progress, not just applause. Because real success is sweeter when you remember everything it took to get there.
Anybody can show up when things are going well. But loyalty, belief, and character are built during the difficult seasons.
Congratulations to Arsenal fans, especially those who stood by the club and proudly supported them through the 22 years of waiting, disappointment, and hope. Loyalty is easy during victories, but staying committed during difficult seasons says a lot about true belief.
