War
An element in a vicious circle
of vengeance and hatred.
Maiming ourselves for the Oracle;
An unnecessary need for bloodshed.
War…War…War…
A disaster mankind brought
going against God’s law.
Inviting his punishment and wrath.
Parents are left childless
As women become widows.
War, for me, is useless
causing nothing but sorrows.
I heard of the first and second
the world brought upon itself.
And unless we harden our bond,
history shall repeat itself.
History easily remembers war
But forgets the blood.
Its consequences I saw
and prayed to the dear Lord.
