There was a certain boy whose name was Uche. He was loved by everyone for his attitude and that made him a role model parents use for their children. He was 10 years old and in primary 6. Meanwhile, there was also a boy named Godwin, he was arrogant and that made people avoid keeping close company with him.
One day, Uche approached Godwin and asked him: “Does it worry you that people don’t like associating with you?”
“I don’t care what they think about me”, replied Godwin folding his hands. “Look, I know that you are thinking that I am wasting my time telling you this”. Said Uche.
“So…”? Said Godwin trying to get the point of what Uche was telling him. “So let me ask you; ‘ has anyone ever bothered to come and tell you these things I’m telling you in this manner?” Asked Uche.
“No” answered Godwin. “Now if you care to listen, here are some three things you need to do to get the best of character. “Said Uche. “Tell me, I’m all ears. “Godwin replied becoming more interested in Uche’s words.
“No1: Avoid things that will take you to your old character.
No2: Comport yourself.
No3: See the results and continue with the good character.” Advised Uche.
“Wow, thanks a lot for your advice, I will really be needing more of it”. Godwin said appreciatively. “You are welcome” said Uche.
Godwin eventually started working on his attitude and he became a better person.
