Muna had a sports competition yesterday and I was to take him to the venue. Mistakenly, I used the wrong postcode and we landed at the wrong address. By the time we rerouted, he was late for the event and rescheduled for another day. I felt so pained, so was he. The next thing he said to me was, “Mummy, we didn’t make words declaration this morning, maybe that’s why we missed this”. Immediately, I remembered that we hurried out of the house and forgot to do our usual word declaration.
Much as the reason for our lateness was obvious, I believed him because I knew and I taught them that words are powerful, whether as a prayer or a mere saying. And this hasn’t failed us, we have been testifying as much as we are professing in our daily lives.
From experience, I learned that there’s a gap in the equation of life that only God can fill. This is not me preaching religion over hard work or trying to trivialise diligence. No. But the God factor is a big factor that can not be overlooked. It is a link that completes hard work and it supersedes other elements of hard work.
Some people have worked so hard and are well known, well heard, well distinguished, well honoured and well recognised for excellence and competence. They have value and productivity, a positive mindset shift and all indices of greatness but their lives are yet to be transformed and recognized in the place of influence. You could feel their worth but you could tell that they’re far from that reach.
What is missing is the God factor.
In the Bible (Luke 5:4-11), Simon worked hard all night and caught no fish until Jesus came and told him to let the nets down again. The difference was not in the net, the time or location of fishing but in the presence of Jesus. There are many other instances like this in the Bible where things took a miraculous turn through divine intervention.
Parents need to let their children understand that success is linked not just to hard work but also to the presence of God and the decision to do His will. God can override the principles of success and reward 100 years of labour with 1 day of favour. Yes, it’s a proven fact and I strongly believe in that. He is the amplifier of hard work and recognising this and abiding by His precepts is all we need to break through.
Different religions know and preach it. They reverence God in their ways and commit their daily life to Him through prayer. The message is to recognize that there is a superior power in the universe who is all-powerful, all-knowing and eternal. His goodness to mankind is earned by recognising His superiority, worshipping Him and walking in His precepts.
Therefore, when exerting your energy fuelled mindset towards achieving your goals, remember to make room for the God Factor Element for high frequency and sustained results.
