FROM NNEOMA’S DIARY
A cruel king once ruled the animals. The Lion King always lured animals to his den anytime he was hungry. One day, he invited the Monkey, the wolf, and the dog. When they came, he told them to go outside and come in one after the other. The monkey came in first, and the Lion killed and ate him. Next, the Lion called in the Wolf.
The Wolf couldn’t figure out what the Lion did with the monkey. “Your Highness, where is the Monkey, and what happened to him?” the Wolf queried. The king subtly said, “He’s in my inner chamber.” At that moment, he dipped his claws into the wolf’s throat, and he died. The Lion ate him also. He killed the dog in the same manner and ate him.
The next day, he called the Jackal and told her to call the doctor. The doctor was a donkey. The donkey came into the king. The king, as usual, killed the doctor and went out telling Jackal to look after the donkey.
The king was interested in the brain of the donkey because he was told that he could become anything he wanted once he consumed the doctor’s brain!
However, Jackal got hungry and ate the brain of the donkey since the King was taking so long to return. When the Lion eventually came back, he asked for the brain. Jackal said that the Donkey doesn’t have a brain because if he had one, he wouldn’t have come to the Lion. The greedy king was disappointed and couldn’t consult his diviner- the dog – because he had already killed and eaten him.
He then concluded that, actually, Doctor Donkey was brainless.
