Even though hazards are rare in schools, they do happen. Recently, there was a case where a child in a school was alleged to be electrocuted due to a faulty equipment. Another child was alleged to be drowned by a bowl of water and many others reported to have fainted in school. School administrators need to be safety conscious and consider it a paramount responsibility to safeguard the lives of their students at all cost.

Pupils should be thought to be safety conscious by knowing not to play with risky objects, avoid interaction with strangers, encouraged to talk when they feel unwell, upset or uncomfortable with anything, report bullying and not to wander towards restricted or unsafe areas. Students in high school should know safe travel routes to and from the school, know school security and safety measures and memorize emergency contact details.
