ON PARENTS EVENING/OPEN DAY.

This is the period when parents visit their children’s schools to check their performance and progress reports.

Beyond checking the academic progress of your children, I urge parents to also check if their children are;

RESPONSIBLE.
This entails their commitment to studies, how quickly they complete homework and class work, how punctual they are in settling tasks, how willing they are to learn without being prompted etc.

RESILIENT
How quick and often they complete their classwork always, attend all lessons, keep to all tasks, push through difficult tasks, act upon feedback, participate in class questions and answers, etc.

PROACTIVE
Their willingness to be ahead in classwork and in extracurricular activities, to discuss concerns, ask questions, share worries,
contribute to class and school activities and their ability to support others and be dutiful.

CHARACTER
How Respectful, neat, organised, courageous, homely, and courteous they are. More importantly, having the fear of God and the right moral values.

With this, you’ll ensure that your children experience a balanced education that is rooted in academic, social, physical and spiritual excellence.

Some children have different personalities in school and at home. While it may be normal to act differently in various environments, it’s different when a child is 2 persons in one or is facing behavioural challenges. Parents Evening or Open Day offers parents the opportunity to know who their children truly are and how they behave outside the home.
