Andre stirs restlessly and sweats profusely in his sleep. Then, he suddenly wakes up, panting as if he barely survived a ghost hunt. “Oh my God. Thank goodness, it was just a dream! ” Andre concluded. “And who says it’s just a dream,” an inner voice, which was out of this world, told him.”You better stop her before she goes out. Else, what you just saw will happen to her.” the voice noted finally.
Andre was still staring into empty space when Audrey, his twin sister, came into the room and called him, but he didn’t respond. She called him again, and he still didn’t respond, so she walked over to the bed, pushed him, and shouted, “What the hell is going on with you, bro?” Andre jerked and gripped her wrist immediately. “Ouch, what was that for?” Audrey screamed, obviously irked. Andre kept quiet and stared lovingly into his sister’s eyes. From when they were little, Andre has been the bigger one, and he is very fond of her, even though Audrey is his elder sister. “C’mon, stop it, you’re making me smile,” Audrey said, amidst laughter. Andre smiled. “That’s what I’ve always wanted, my lady,” he said, kissing her forehead. Audrey hugged him and said “somehow you’ve turned this into a morning ritual.” “What?” Andre asked. “The kiss on the forehead thing,” she said. They both laughed hysterically.
“Come, let’s have breakfast,” she said, dragging him up, “then later, you’ll tell why you were involved in a ghost chase.” “And who said that I was in a ghost chase?” He asked. Audrey sat him down and whispered: “You’re trying to be sly, but it’s getting you nowhere today. You’re telling me everything.”
Audrey served the food while Andre kept thinking of how to tell Audrey what he saw and stop her from leaving the house. They soon started eating, but Andre was still restless.”Is there anything you want to tell me?” Audrey asked softly, searching his eyes. Andre dropped his cutlery, stretched his hands across the table, and held Audrey’s hands. She gave him a coy smile. “Do you trust me?” He asked seriously. Her smile vanished. A hundred and ten times…why?!” She asked. “I had a dream about you last night. Andre went on to explain in detail how everything happened in his dream and how the voice confirmed everything.
After listening to her brother, Audrey stood up, with tears finding their way down her eyes.”You mean Kasie and I died?” She asked. “Yeah,” Andre answered sadly. He brought her close and hugged her.” I think you should cancel the excursion.” He suggested.”But Kasie … what do I tell her?” Audrey asked, releasing herself from Andre. He thought for a while, then came up with a plan. How about inviting Kasie over here? Maybe play a game of cards or something.” He suggested. “Thanks, I’ll call her.” Audrey said happily. She turned to leave, but she turned back and enclosed her brother in a tight embrace. “I love you,” she whispered. “I love you too, my lady,” Andre affirmed.
