ENGAGING THE VALUES OF RELIGION.

FROM KAIMA’S DIARY…

In the corridors of everyday life, where echoes of countless footsteps tell tales of routine, Hisha stood as a testament to her faith. Her hijab, a swath of fabric much more than a mere accessory, was a declaration of her identity and beliefs.

“Why do you wear it every day?” Jack inquired, his voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and ignorance.

“It’s a part of who I am,” Hisha replied, her voice a soft yet unyielding melody of conviction. “It’s my belief, my strength, my heritage, and my choice.”

The conversation sparked a shift in the air, a subtle yet profound realization that understanding begins with a simple question and the willingness to listen.

Let this scenario be a reminder to all kinds of religion that our differences are not just to be tolerated but celebrated. Religion is not only an elective set of beliefs for individuals. It is a logical and fundamental component of their existence, an articulation of concepts and themes. It unfolds critical details such as moral guidance, exoneration, and enrichment. Its practice not only assists as a form of praise and worship but also as a means of transmission and instruction.

Even with the versatility of science, religion still mentors us towards a course of solidarity and deeper insight into life. Science and religion can both clash and coexist. Some religious groups welcome scientific findings because religion has inspired a vast array of art, music, and literature, often exploring spiritual themes in contemporary culture.

In the course of our scientific explorations, shall we embrace both religion and science and be proud of who we are? Shall we embrace our diversity and always stand tall in all? Shall we be proud of our unique background, race, and range of human experience?

Our story is what we make of it, and we all tell different stories. It is through understanding each other’s story that we find unity.
