Black Rose
I found a Friend.
A gift to behold.
We would lie on fields
and count the stars.
I gave her a White Rose.
I found a Lover.
A blessing in an envelope.
I would feel at rest
at the crisp of our kisses.
I gave her a Red Rose.
And then I lost all.
A stab to the heart.
I would visit her grave
and on its top;
I dropped a Black Rose.
