FROM NDUKA’S DIARY
πππ
Once, there was a man named George. He was a man who found it hard to be content with what he had.
One day, he went to one of his friends’ house and while they were chatting and laughing, he said to his friend: “Dennis, this world is turning into something else and I think it’s high time I started making money by any means”. “Is it why you are worried”? Dennis queried. “Don’t you think that it’s enough reason for me to be worried?” George said taking a sip of his beer. “I don’t think so. But there is a group that I am in that can make you rich overnight. Dennis said assuringly
“What group”? George asked inquisitively. “You will find out tomorrow”. Denis said calmly.
“I hope it is not something bad”, replied George. “No, why would you think it is something bad? Asked Dennis. “Nothing”. Said George putting up a fake smile. “Well thanks for your time and concern but I got to go. I will call you later”. George said standing up to leave. “Okay bye, go safe. Dennis said.
At his mother’s house, George told her about what transpired between him and Dennis. She then told him: “I know that you need money for yourself but you have shelter clothes & food right? “Yes, mama”. Answered George affirmatively. “Good, now can you guess why I’m still alive”? George’s mother asked. But George nodded negatively. “It’s because I am always content with what I have. Now come to think of it, if I had overstressed myself looking for money, I would be dead by now or my aged face would appear”. “No wonder you still look young”. said George. “You see, being content brings happiness and satisfaction”, said George’s mother, but as soon as she finished speaking, he hugged her tightly and said softly: “Thank you, Mama”.
Later that day, he heard that another friend of theirs who had followed Dennis was killed in the process of initiating him into their Money ritual occult. He was excited that he had learned to be content from his Mum.
