ADVENTURE BEFORE DEMENTIA

Have you come across this phrase before?
I heard it 2 weeks ago for the first time at a seminar. All the interpretations I read were similar. It basically means that…

Time flies so fast…
Things happen so fast..
Life ends so fast..
Make each day count…
Be adventurous…
Be happy….
Live your dream…
Experience a new thing…
Be inspired to enjoy life…
BEFORE OLD AGE COMES KNOCKING…

Beautiful!
Beyond this, I think that being adventurous also entails exploring new ideas, projects, strategies etc. It’s about opening and living each chapter of your life as against leaving them closed. It’s the awareness that these chapters are in pages and that the beauty of each page depends on how interesting the previous pages were. Finally, it is the consciousness that there is a last page with either a happy or a sad ending.

Life adventures are worth taking. If you choose to invest in them, you will never forget it. But if you merely count days and waste time, you will never remember it. The days of the nomadic lifestyle are fast gone. Take advantage of the daily innovations of this age, conquer your world and make beautiful memories while you can so that if eventually dementia comes, it’ll be immersed in the good beautiful memories of the past.

Age is a risk factor for Dementia. An ageing life is an honoured life, a life filled with purpose and adventure.

Give me a handshake if I made sense😃
