I ASKED, SO I WROTE.

I gained my life when I decided to ask questions.

For years, I thought a writer was someone who had answers.

Someone who understood people, understood life, and could turn that understanding into sentences that made sense of the world.

Then I realised I had misunderstood the craft entirely.

A writer is not someone who has all the answers.

A writer is someone who refuses to stop asking questions.

My books began with questions.

What does it truly mean to be a good parent?

Are we raising children to live their own lives, or to fulfil our expectations?

Which parenting style deserves to be preserved, and which needs to change?

Should schools teach only knowledge, or also character, resilience, creativity, and responsibility?

What parts of our culture should we pass on to our children?

What stories, languages, values, and memories will disappear if we stop passing them on?

And so on.

Once I began asking, the stories came faster than I could have imagined.

In only a few years, I published book after book.

People saw the publications, the posts, and the sales links. From the outside, it looked like productivity.

But I knew the truth.

I wasn’t simply writing books.

I was chasing questions.

Every book became an attempt to follow one question to its deepest place.

Sometimes, I found an answer. More often, I found another question waiting underneath it.

That is what writing became for me, a conversation with the unknown.

I learned that I did not need to know everything before I began.

I only needed to be curious enough to begin.

The more I wrote, the more I understood that stories are not built from answers.

They are built from uncertainty, contradiction, longing, fear, hope, and the questions we are too afraid to ask aloud.

Perhaps that is why I could write so many books in such a short time.

I was never trying to finish the conversation.

I was trying to keep it alive.

And somewhere between one manuscript and the next, between one question and another, I realised something unexpected:

I had not found my life by discovering all the answers but gained my life by learning how to ask better questions.
